Aim & Objectives

The Talent Program is designed to nurture and develop the skills of its participants through highly personalized paths tailored to enhance individuals' personal inclinations and passions, orienting them toward professional and organizational dimensions that authentically reflect their talents and interests.

To whom is it addressed?

The program is intended for doctoral students, young researchers and technologists who are involved in higher education, research and innovation projects managed in the context of the scientific activity promoted and organized by the Bruno Kessler Foundation through its Research Centers, knowledge domains and partners.

Special attention is given to those people already involved in projects or learning programs promoted by the Foundation.

What does it include?

Assessment: Assessment of potential with feedback through individual interview. The assessment of potential is related to the competency system for research work as configured by the European Competence Framework. In parallel, scientific profiling will also be carried out as completely and accurately as possible.

Career paths: Career paths associated with distinctive competencies have been identified and will shape your Career Path (Career Path).

Personal Strategy: Sharing and start of the development and training path (Personal Strategy) in line with professional and organizational goals.
The path also considers and enhances those personal orientations expressed by those directly involved in terms of individual goals, values and desires.

Over the next two years, the program will be extended to all fixed-term staff, who will be progressively involved based on their accrued contractual seniority.

We are also in the process of reviewing and realigning the proposed process for PhD students.

2024 Pilot

In agreement with Centers’ Directors, the pilot starting in June 2024 includes a small group of participants to allow for testing and optimization of strategies and tools, ensuring that the program is scalable and adaptable in the future.

The initial group consists of:

  • 37th-cycle Ph.D. students
  • FBK technologist and researcher staff on fixed-term contracts as of 30/04/2024 who will potentially reach maximum fixed-term seniority by 31/05/2027 and who do not have an already defined trajectory (e.g., outgoing trajectory, Tenure Track in progress, ...)

After the 2024 pilot, the program will continue to evolve, incorporating feedback and expanding the scope of initiatives to include all research staff, technologists, and doctoral students.
