How to connect to GitLab?

GitLab can be accessed through SSH or HTTPS. From the FBK internal network both protocols can be used, while from external networks only HTTPS is available.

SSH

In order to connect to GitLab through SSH, you need an SSH Key. In your Gitlab profile you can add a key or find instructions to generate a new one. In your Gitlab projects home you can find the main commands to manage your repository.

HTTPS

In order to connect to GitLab through HTTPS, you need to set a password. On the Gitlab login page, after a logout, choose "Forgot your password?", insert your FBK email and follow the instructions for password reset. This password is for GitLab only, it  is completely unrelated to other FBK services. After password creation, in your Gitlab  projects home you can find the main commands to manage your repository.

NOTE: At first access, connect to the FBK GitLab page  and use the “Sign-in with Google” button; once this is done, you need to write an email to help-it@fbk.eu requesting that your account be unlocked.
