Sara Papi has been awarded the best PhD 2024 in Engineering and Information Science at the University of Trento.
Her PhD thesis, entitled ‘Direct Speech Translation in Constrained Contexts: the Simultaneous and Subtitling Scenarios’, stands out for having tackled two of the most complex challenges in the field: simultaneous speech translation and automatic subtitling generation.
