The research work led by Giovanni De Toni from the MobS unit, entitled ‘You Don’t Bring Me Flowers: Mitigating Unwanted Recommendations Through Conformal Risk Control’, has been awarded the ‘Best Full Paper Award’ at the ACM RecSys 2025 conference in Prague.
The paper introduces the first method that can demonstrably limit unwanted recommendations through simple binary user feedback, leveraging the conformal risk control technique and opening new perspectives for more transparent and reliable recommendation systems.
