Let the rhythm guide you: the Drum Circle comes to FBK

A circle of people, percussion instruments, and a rhythm that emerges spontaneously. This is the essence of a Drum Circle, the participatory musical experience coming to FBK and led by percussionist John Salins.

You don’t need to be a musician. In fact, that’s exactly the point: anyone can take part. No sheet music, technical skills, or previous experience are required. Simply sit in the circle, listen to the rhythm, and contribute—together with others—to creating music that takes shape moment by moment.

A Drum Circle is much more than a simple music workshop: it is an experience of shared energy, listening, and connection, where rhythm becomes a common language capable of bringing people together.

This initiative is organised in collaboration with CDM – Centro Didattico MusicaTeatroDanza of Rovereto and is part of the cultural welfare initiatives promoted by FBK. Through musical practice, we aim to open the Foundation’s spaces to experiences that foster wellbeing, creativity, and new connections among colleagues.

Making music together—even without prior experience—is a simple yet powerful way to step out of the daily routine, reduce stress, and strengthen the sense of community within an international and multidisciplinary work environment like ours.

The initiative is structured as a series of four sessions, taking place at FBK Via Sommarive, 18 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. While the programme is designed as a complete path, it is also possible to attend only some of the sessions.
