The Digital Solutions and IT Infrastructure Service provides users with different types of wired networks: trusted, untrusted.<\/p>

All systems on trusted and untrusted networks are accessible only from within the networks themselves and therefore cannot offer services to the outside. Trusted<\/em> networks are high-security environments, with direct access to all<\/span> computing, printing, etc. resources. Both Ethernet cable networks and wireless networks fall into this category. To ensure an adequate level of security, only centrally managed PCs<\/a> are authorized to connect directly to these networks.<\/p>

All managed PCs<\/a> are configured to automatically use these two connection modes and therefore no action is required by users.<\/p><\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Untrusted networks<\/h4>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n \t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n

Untrusted<\/em> networks are less secure environments, with indirect access to computing resources, printing, etc. The Eduroam<\/strong> and FBK-Guests<\/strong> WiFi networks fall into this category. All unmanaged, private or FBK-owned PCs can connect to these networks, as long as they comply with the minimum security measures indicated in Legislative Decree 196\/03.
Users are centrally authenticated only for Internet access, in compliance with Law 155 of 31 July 2005.<\/p>
